Michael Blumenthal (AKA Yom Tov)

Michael was born in Philadelphia in 1974.  At the age of 18 months his parents moved to Boca Raton, Florida.  When Michael was a junior in high school he was accepted into the Ringling School of Art and Design primarily based on his fine art portfolio.

Michael graduated from the Ringling School with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in illustration and continued on for another year to receive a Specialty Degree in Computer Art and Animation.

Upon graduation Michael was recruited by Interplay, an animation studio, in Irvine, California.  There he worked on several Star Trek Video Games with guidance from William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.  He also helped to create and animate the Coca-Cola animation “Happiness Factory”, which was used in one of the Super Bowl commercials.  Michael also worked on many animations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and collaborated with David Sacks, writer and producer of “Third Rock From the Sun and the Simpsons, to illustrate a book written by Mr. Sacks.

Today, Michael lives in Delray Beach, Florida where he continues to produce fine art and digital paintings entitled “FRAGMENTED ART”.
